Dutchmans Creek Retrievers Guarantee

We go to great lengths to produce healthy, sound puppies that are from the top NFC, FC, AFC and MH bloodlines. We take pride in satisfying new owners with the selection of their new puppy and want each owner to be pleased with their new addition.

Guarantee for new owner:

The new owner may qualify for a replacement (pup of equal value) or a refund of the original purchase price if before the age of 26 months: the puppy develops hip dysphasia as evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals or Progressive Retinal Atrophy, as certified by AVCO Diplomat veterinary ophthalmologist.

We do not guarantee the reproduction and/or breedability of any puppy sold.

The buyer has several responsibilities for the terms of this guarantee to remain effective:
  1. The breeder must be notified within 15 days of diagnosis of hip dysphasia or progressive retinal atrophy.
  2. The dog may not have been bred prior to claim.
  3. The original purchaser must own the dog.

Claim for replacement or refund shall be in writing, and shall be accompanied by the following:

  1. A copy of this guarantee.
  2. The original AKC registration certificate, with ownership signed back to the breeder.
  3. A veterinary certification of hip or eye defect as described above.

Claims must be submitted to the breeder with all required documents before the dog reaches 26 months of age. Breeder reserves the right to take possession of the affected live dog in the event the buyer makes a claim for replacement.
